1/12/2008, · I've riding and racing for 40 yrs and have seen many ,helmets, after crashes.Most tracks do not allow polycarbonate ,helmets, because they tend to shatter on high speed impacts.Fiberglass will crack but hold togeather ,better, after impact.In either case once a ,helmet, makes contact with the pavement it's done and is no longer safe to use.I pefer HLC ,helmets, as the fit and weight is really good.
